ORECCHIETTE WITH BROCCOLI RABE & SAUSAGE

Recipe provided by Lisa C. "Dinners made in one pot are a true favorite! Make sure you cook the pasta and broccoli rabe in one pot. Quick and easy weekday meal."

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sweet Italian pork sausage
  • 1/2 lb hot Italian pork sausage
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 6 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 dry red wine
  • 1/4 tomato paste
  • 1 lb orecchiette pasta
  • 2 bunches broccoli rabe (2 to 2 1/2 lbs)
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 and prick the sausages with a fork and roast them on a sheet pan for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once till just cooked thru. Slice 1/2"t thick and set aside.
